Newton residents who want to catch a Red Sox game while supporting their local library have until Thursday, Aug. 13, to grab tickets.

The Friends of the Newton Free Library is organizing a group outing to Fenway Park on Monday, Aug. 17, when Boston hosts the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:10 p.m. Seats are in Grandstand 11 and cost $67 per person, with additional fees, according to a Fig City News listing. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Newton Free Library.

Seats are limited. Tickets are first-come, first-served, and the purchase deadline is firm. Stephen Tassone, the event's organizer, is handling questions by email. Tickets can be purchased at gofevo.com.

The library is promoting the outing on its homepage, linking to the Friends' events page for details.

The fundraiser is a recurring tradition. Last year, the Friends hosted a similar Fenway night for the Red Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians game, with $35 tickets in Left Field Grandstand.

The Newton Free Library, at 330 Homer Street, draws more than 400,000 visitors annually, according to the library's fundraising page. The Friends organization sponsored more than 722 youth services programs in fiscal year 2023, reaching over 50,000 attendees.

This isn't the only fundraiser on the Friends' calendar. Mini-Golf Weekend returns to the library on Saturday evening, Oct. 3, and Sunday morning, Oct. 4.
